NAPPANEE – Willard “Bill” Hepler, 81, of Nappanee, died of natural causes at 9:40 a.m. Nov. 12, 2012, in his residence.
He was born Oct. 16, 1931, in Kosciusko County, to Fred O. and Mary Louise Mays Hepler.
He graduated from Nappanee High School in 1949. He retired from CTS Corp. in 1993 after more than 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of Nappanee American Legion and was dedicated to the Red Cross Blood drives.
Surviving are two sisters, Ruth (and spouse Merlin) Yoder and Donnabelle (and spouse Edward) Monhaut, all of Nappanee; and four brothers: Eldon Hepler, Jacksonville, Fla.; Allen (and spouse Marge) Hepler, South Bend; Richard (and spouse Marlene) Hepler, Apache Junction, Ariz.; and Russell (and spouse Ardala) Hepler, LaGrange. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with the Rev. Russell Hepler officiating. Burial will be in Hepton Union Cemetery with a military graveside service by members of Nappanee American Legion.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
