Willa Mae Slone, 70, Warsaw, passed away at 7:55 a.m. June 15, 2015, in her residence.
She was born Jan. 24, 1945, in Martin, Ky., to Ollie and Mollie Goodman Robinson. On July 6, 1963, in David, Ky., she married Lon Clay Slone, who preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 2007. They were married for 44 years.
She moved to Winona Lake in 1963 and then to Warsaw in 1966, and raised two daughters. She worked various jobs at Korth Furniture and Sun Metal before working at the Holiday Inn as a hostess in Ginger’s Gardens.  Her bright smile would be welcoming.  She retired to spend time with her grandchildren. They were the light of her life and her pride and joy.
 Surviving are two daughters: Vickie McClone and Michele “Shelly” (and spouse William) Slone, all of Warsaw; five grandchildren: Riley, Wesley, Landon, Wyatt and Jacob; two sisters, Lisa Castle, Langley, Ky., and Dolly Robinson, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; four brothers, Claude Robinson, Sidney, and James, Ricky and Lonnie  Robinson, all of Martin, Ky.  She was also survived by her “sisters by choice” Opal Bates, Prestonsburg, Ky., and Wanda Ramey and Janice Hall, both of Warsaw. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Annabelle Slone, Hilene Hall, Dollie Belle Robinson and Sally Ray; four brothers, Everett, Harrison, Ollie Jr. and Gary Blackburn Robinson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Ken Locke and Pastor Henry Arnett Jr. officiating.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel.
