SOUTH WHITLEY - The Whitko Wildcats scored 41 points in the second half en route to a 69-54 Saturday win over Central Noble.
The Wildcats had just 10 turnovers to Central Noble's 19.
"We did a lot better job of handling the ball," Whitko coach Dave Henson said. "Five of those came in the fourth quarter."
The was the second in two nights for the Wildcats, who began the season 0-2. They came back from a 28-point deficit in the third quarter to beat Northfield on Friday. They are now 2-2.
"We were concerned about how we would come back emotionally after the big comeback Friday," Henson said. "We were worried about being emotionally flat."
Zach Henson recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists to lead Whitko. Jason Ayres added 14 points.
Whitko, 1-0 in the Three Rivers Conference, is at Tippecanoe Valley on Friday. [[In-content Ad]]
