Wildcats Get TRC Home Win Over Wabash, 53-45

SOUTH WHITLEY – Junior Nate Walpole scored 18 points, and sophomore River West added 15 in Whitko’s 53-45 win over Three Rivers Conference rival Wabash Friday night.
Senior Devon Adkins added nine points for the Wildcats. Classmate Tanner Gaff had seven points and a team-high 12 rebounds, with fellow senior Roger Helblig contributing four points and nine rebounds.
West and Walpole pulled down eight rebounds each.
Whitko (1-1, 1-0 TRC) will play a home game against Bellmont at 7:45 tonight.

Friday in Knox
Alec Craig scored 15 points and Neil Clampitt added 13 more to lead Tippecanoe Valley to a 45-36 road win over Knox.
The Vikings trailed by four points after three quarters, then outscored the home team 19-6 over the final eight minutes to secure their first win of the season. Valley also had to overcome Knox sophomore guard Kooper Broeker and his game-high 23 points.
Clampitt also had a game-high seven rebounds, sharing the honor with Broeker.
Now 1-2, Valley will host Culver Academy Tuesday night.

The Panthers’ Luke Zurcher and Dakiryon Fox each had 17 points to pace the visitors. Triton’s Masen Yeo had a team-high eight rebounds to go with his seven points. Zac Pitney also had seven points for the Trojans.
Triton (2-2) travels to Middlebury to take on Clinton Christian Tuesday night.
