Wiggins Makes Appointments

Warsaw Mayor Ernie Wiggins appointed representatives to city boards and commissions during Monday's Warsaw City Council meeting.

Wiggins appointed councilmen Joe Thallemer and Jeff Grose to again serve on Warsaw Plan Commission, and Lacy Francis will serve as a citizen representative on the plan commission.

Councilman Charlie Smith will serve as a council representative on the redevelopment commission, and Richard Snodgrass will serve as a citizen representative on the redevelopment commission.

Joe Thallemer will serve as council president, replacing Jerry Patterson.

The council also:

- Approved an ordinance for the Warsaw Parks Department to transfer $14,000 from non-reverting capital fund to buildings for improvements to Center Lake Pavilion.

- Approved an ordinance for the Warsaw Parks Department to transfer $7,500 from machinery and equipment to buildings for Center Lake Pavilion renovations.

- Approved an ordinance for the Warsaw Police Department for an additional $88,300 payment for the police pension fund for the deferred retirement option plan for former police chief Steve Foster who retired Dec. 31.

- Approved a resolution to transfer $12,000 from the cumulative capital improvement fund into the general fund.

- Approved a resolution for the clerk's office for investments and electronic funds transfers.[[In-content Ad]]
