Winning 19-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-23, 15-8, Whitko was led by Whitney Hobbs’ 12 kills and four aces, as well as Elaine Warner’s 36 assists.
For Wawasee, Aly Anderson had 45 digs and three aces, while Hunter Gaerte led the way with 14 kills, Tia Long posted 17 assists and Meghan Fretz recorded three blocks.
Both teams are in action Thursday, as Whitko hosts Fort Wayne Canterbury and Wawasee is at Elkhart Memorial.
