NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION BY THE WHITKO COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION
    The taxpayers of the Whitko Community School Corporation (the “Corporation”) are hereby given notice that the Board of School Trustees of the Corporation will hold a public hearing at 7:30 P.M., local time, on Monday, June 20, 2011, at the Whitko Community School Corporation located at 432 South First Street, Pierceton, Indiana 46562, on the matter of appropriating proceeds from the sale of certain general obligation bonds payable from ad valorem property taxes levied on property within the Corporation (the “Bonds”) which may be issued by the Corporation in the aggregate original principal amount not to exceed Six Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($625,000), together with interest earnings thereon.  Such funds will be appropriated to finance all or a portion of: (1) providing technology improvements at (a) the existing elementary schools, including, but not limited to, the installation of technology wiring, wireless networking and related improvements thereto and (b) the existing middle school and high school, including, but not limited to, upgrading the wireless network and related improvements thereto, (2) completing other miscellaneous facility improvement and equipping throughout the geographical boundaries of the School Corporation, including, but not limited to, providing for technology resources and end user equipment, and (3) undertaking all projects related to clauses (1) or  (2) (clauses (1) through and including (3), collectively, the “Project”).  The appropriations may also be used for the payment or reimbursement of any necessary engineering, design, financial advisory, planning and legal services, and activities related to the Project, and the costs associated with the selling and issuing of the Bonds.
    Said appropriation is in addition to any appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy.  At said public hearing, all persons shall have the right to appear and be heard on the necessity of said appropriation.
