George and Debra White, Etna Green, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Danielle, Newport, Ky., formerly of Etna Green, to Troy Chase MacKintosh, Ludlow, Ky., son of Donald and Beverly MacKintosh, Walton, Ky.

The bride-to-be is a broker with Citibank. She attended Triton Jr./Sr. High School and Northern Kentucky University.

The groom-elect is a manager with Ameristop. He attended New Mexico Military Institute and the University of Cincinnati. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard.

Kathleen N. Anderson-Takacs, 84, of Pierceton, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. Kathy was born on Aug. 14, 1940, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Darwin and Jane Gibson. On April 17, 2004, she married Bill Takacs in Gatlinburg, Tenn., who survives.
