John Whitcraft and the former Mary Redcay were married Jan. 1, 1940, at East Petersburg (Pa.) Church of the Brethren.
John is a retired Church of the Brethren pastor and Mary enjoyed working as a hostess at Hardees, North Manchester, for several years.
The couple have five children: Brenda (and spouse Charles) Petry, Fort Wayne; Jim (and spouse Jane) Hoagland; Faye (and spouse Larry) Jagger, Warsaw; Scott, (and spouse Crystal), Wausau, Wis.; Pam (and spouse Duane) Metzger, Warsaw; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
They celebrated their anniversay at a family gathering on New Year's Eve.
