The Rev. Albert and Pearl Whitaker will mark their 65th wedding anniversary Aug. 16, 2008. Albert Whitaker and Pearl Prater were married Aug. 16, 1943, in Prestonsburg, Ky.

He is a retired minister at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, and she is retired from Da-Lite Screen Co.

The couple have three children: James (and spouse Barbara) Whitaker, Sam (and spouse Jennifer) Whitaker, and Kay (and spouse Tom) Miller, all of Warsaw. They have 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate the anniversary with an open house at Lighthouse Church Fellowship Hall, Warsaw, from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

County Commissioners Say ‘No’ To Rezoning For Data Center
A data center won’t be coming to the Leesburg area anytime soon. By a 3-0 vote Tuesday, the Kosciusko County Commissioners upheld the Area Plan Commission’s 8-0 recommendation to deny rezoning over 500 acres from agricultural to industrial-3. The property is on the north side of CR 700N, west of CR 300W, in Prairie and Jefferson townships.
