WHA Elects Officers

Warsaw Housing Authority Monday elected officers for 2008.

Officers include President Bob Kline; Vice President Karen Moeller; Secretary Page Himes and Treasurer Tammy Keirn.

The organization also welcomed new members David Kolbe and Gary Parker.[[In-content Ad]]Pam Kennedy, HOW executive director, informed the organization she attended the Jan. 22 city council meeting to request funding for Housing Opportunities of Warsaw.

She requested the city provide $25,000 for HOW. The funding request is to cover the not-for-profit organization's employee salary, rent, accounting fees, audit fees, Internet, telephone and interest fees.

HOW has secured to date $47,124 in funding for 2008. The cost estimate to fund these items in 2008 is $77,664. She said she will attend the council's Feb. 4 meeting.

WHA will meet again Feb. 25 at 5:15 p.m. at the housing office.
