WHA Elects 2009 Officers

Warsaw Housing Authority Board of Commissioners Monday elected officers for 2009.

Bob Kline was re-elected president; Karen Moeller was re-elected vice president; Page Himes was re-elected secretary; and Tammy Keirn was re-elected treasurer.

Other board members are David Kolbe and Gary Parker and tenant representative Donna Thrasher Francis. Kyle Babcock serves as a council representative on the board.

In other business, the board approved Mutual Bank to oversee Housing Authority's and Housing Opportunities of Warsaw's financial accounts.

Keirn, HOW president, said she has been working with other board members to form an office chair race for Downtown Days this summer. The race would allow businesses to decorate chairs, and participate in the race to raise funds for HOW.

Pam Kennedy, HOW executive director, said she will give a weatherization kit presentation at Pierceton Library Wednesday night. The kits provide items to help residents save on energy costs.[[In-content Ad]]
