Mike and Jill Wertenberger, Claypool, announce the engagement of their daughter, Hayley Wertenberger, Claypool, to Chase Hand, Fort Wayne. He is the son of Kraig and Becky Hand, Claypool.

The bride-to-be is employed in customer service at Chore-Time Brock Hog Production Services, Milford. She is a 2004 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and graduated from Blackhawk College East Campus, Kewanee, Ill., with a degree in the agriculture transfer program in 2006, and attended classes at Indiana Tech, Warsaw.

The groom-elect is a mechanic at TE Inc., Fort Wayne. He is a 2004 graduate of Whitko High School, South Whitley, and is a 2006 graduate of the University of Northwestern Ohio with a degree in agriculture equipment technology and diesel technology. He served in the United States Marine Corps delayed entry program.

The couple plan to marry when the groom-elect graduates from boot camp.[[In-content Ad]]
