Webster Opens Art Rooms, Plans Classes

NORTH WEBSTER - Art classes will be offered at the North Webster Community Center beginning March 7.
After a series of successful grant applications, a room has been renovated to accommodate art classes for children and adults.
A number of classes are being scheduled, including classes in oil, watercolor and acrylic painting, caligraphy, drawing, framing and others.
The room is furnished with a variety of pottery wheels, easels, tables and chairs and other basic necessary supplies and tools.
The space is provided by grants from the Dekko Foundation and the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.
The first class will be basic pottery, March 7 to May 12, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 to 9 p.m. Cost of the class will be $150, which includes 25 pounds of clay, use of pottery wheels, a starter set of tools and kiln charges. To sign up, call 574-834-1600, Ext. 0.
The North Webster Community Center is a not-for-profit organization, established in 2002.
The NWCC houses the Kosciusko Community YMCA, the North Webster Community Public Library, the Senior Primelife Enrichment Center, Lakeland Youth Center, the North Webster Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce and Fit 4 U.
