NORTH WEBSTER - During the past month, North Webster had reports of breaking and entering of vehicles.

At the North Webster Town Board meeting Tuesday, concerned citizens asked what the town's police department was doing regarding the crimes and what citizens could do to help.

Town Marshal Greg Church recommended removing valuables from one's vehicle. Keep cars and homes locked. Everyone should be vigilant and call the local police department if they see anything suspicious.

Church also warned of scams involving donation requests to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Before a donation is made, Church said the donors should make sure the organization they are donating to is legitimate.
