The Warsaw Community Development Corporation announced Tuesday their relocation to 117A W. Center St. from their current location on Market Street.

The move will take place Monday, allowing WCDC to enjoy better community visibility and a larger office space, something director Carmen Lock said is greatly needed.

"I can barely get into my office right now," Lock said. "With all the Spooktakular material we're storing, I have a little path back to my desk and that's about all."

No definite plans have been made for the old location after WCDC moves.

In other issues, President John Elliott announced the corporation plans to elect Clint Pletcher as the new WCDC president for 2006.

"I'm assured that the transition will be fairly uncomplicated thanks to John (Elliott's) present management," Pletcher said. "I'm grateful to have a wonderful group of people to work with who have a true sincerity of downtown Warsaw."

The corporation also:

• Heard a report from Lock and Parks Department Administrator Jon Garber that the Biblical Gardens will be closing the brook and fountain to prepare for the winter.

• Heard from Lock that WCDC applications are being submitted to downtown businesses in efforts to broaden membership. [[In-content Ad]]
