WCDC Plans Downtown Spooktacular

Warsaw Community Development Corp. has planned its annual downtown Warsaw Spooktacular.

The event is Oct. 29 with costume contest registration at 5:30 p.m. on the southeast side of the courthouse lawn; trick-or-treat with downtown Warsaw merchants is from 6 to 7 p.m.; and costume contest judging is from 7 to 8 p.m.

Activities are open to children ages infant to 12 years old.

Costume contest categories for ages infant to 1 and 2 to 3 will be judged in the following categories: most original, funniest and cutest; and ages 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 will be judged on most original, funniest and scariest.

Street closings will be from Center Street between Lake and Indiana streets, and Buffalo Street between Market and Main streets. WCDC will block off the streets between 3:30 to 4 p.m., and all streets will re-open at 9 p.m.

Sponsors include Warsaw's downtown merchants, Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club, Miller's Merry Manor and WCDC.
