Wawasee Tennis Edges West Noble, 3-2

LIGONIER – Meg Heinisch needed three sets, and a first-set tiebreaker, to win at No. 3 singles and secure the Lady Warriors’ 3-2 victory at West Noble Monday.
Wawasee’s No. 2 doubles team of Courtney Larson and Kendra Doerr came back from a set down to win, and the No. 1 doubles duo of Charity Parker and Kabrea Rostochak won in straight sets.
The Lady Warriors (3-6) return to Northern Lakes Conference play today when they host Elkhart Memorial.

Singles: No. 1 – Vanesa Ratliff (WN) def. Jazlyn Gehlhausen 6-1, 7-6 (7-4); No. 2 –  Tara Miller (WN) def. Peyton Rookstool 6-3, 6-3; No. 3 – Meg Heinisch (W) def. Megan Godfrey 7-6 (7-1) 2-6, 6-1.
Doubles: No. 1 – Charity Parker/Kabrea Rostochak (W) def. Lupita Romo/Kellie Waring 6-3, 6-4; No. 2 – Courtney Larson/Kendra Doerr (W) def. Tori Miller/Riley Kruger 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
