Wawasee SB Coach Knipper Resigns Post

The Lady Warriors finished their 2016 season with a 24-6 record and fell in the 3A Fairfield Sectional championship game, 1-0 to the host Lady Falcons on Thursday.
“Jared has made a big impact on the Wawasee softball program during his time here,” Wiktorowski said in a statement. “He is a winner and his teams were a source of pride for the school and community. He has a great, even-tempered manner and embraced proper priorities. His teams always played hard, were confident, and looked like they were really having fun on the field. Jared will be hard to replace and we very much appreciate all he has done for Wawasee softball.”
Knipper becomes the fourth head coach to step aside this school year. Chris Cole stepped down as volleyball coach in mid-season due to health reasons, Kem Zolman retired as girls basketball coach, and Wiktorowski gave up the boys basketball head coaching position, both after the conculsion of their respective seasons.[[In-content Ad]]
