Wawasee Offers Spring 2011 Adult Education Classes

SYRACUSE - Registrations are being accepted now through Feb. 4 for spring 2011 adult education classes at Wawasee High School.

The spring 2011 adult education classes at Wawasee will begin the week of Feb. 14.

Wawasee offers a variety of classes for non-credit and also offers instruction for preparation to pass the GED test to attain a high school diploma.

All classes will be held at Wawasee High School. Classes are one night a week unless otherwise stated.

Anyone wanting to register for a class may send registration fee along with name, address and phone number to the Career/Technical and Continuing Education Office at Wawasee High School, #1 Warrior Path, Building #1, Syracuse, IN 46567.

For more information, call 574-457-3147, Ext. 209, or come to the Continuing Education office at Wawasee High School any school day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The offerings for the spring are:[[In-content Ad]]- Introduction to Computers I, $40, Tuesdays beginning Feb. 15, five classes, 6 to 8 p.m.

- Introduction to Computers II, $50, Tuesdays beginning March 22, five classes, 6 to 8 p.m.

- Web Design Made Simple, $50, Thursdays beginning Feb. 17, five classes, 6 to 8:30 p.m.

- GED, no fee, Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Feb. 15, 6 to 8:30 p.m.

- Adult, Infant, Level II, III & IV Swimming Lessongs, $40, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning April 19 for nine classes. Infant (4 months to 2 years), 5:30 to 6 or 6 to 6:30 p.m. Level I, II, III, 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.; Level I, II, IV, 7:15 to 8 p.m. Indicate age, time and level of child swimmer.

- Bodyworks (aerobics), $35, Mondays and Wednesdays beginning March 7 for 16 classes, 7 to 8 p.m.

- Water Exercise, $40, Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Feb. 15 for 14 classes, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

- Yoga, $25, Tuesdays beginning Feb. 15 for six classes from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sticky mat required.

- Beginning Cake Decorating, $40, Wednesdays, beginning Feb. 16 for six classes, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Supplies extra.

- Advanced Cake Decorating, $30, Wednesdays beginning March 30 for three classes, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Supplies extra.

- Quilting, $40, Mondays beginning Feb. 14 for six classes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Supplies extra.

- Beginning Or Advanced Stained Glass, $40, Thursdays beginning Feb. 17 for five classes, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Supplies extra.

- Basic Knitting, $20, Thursdays beginning April 14 for two classes, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Supplies extra.

- Mosaics, $30, April 28 for three classes, 6 to 9 p.m. Supplies extra.
