SYRACUSE – Wawasee’s Kyle Weideman tied West Noble’s Grant Moser for medalist honors, each with a 3-over 39 at South Shore Golf Club, but Fairfield won the three-way boys golf match with a team score of 169. Wawasee had a 172 and West Noble a 184.
Warrior senior Jeffrey Moore came in at 43, Cameron Adams and Jayce Boatwright each carded 45s, and Cal Heinisch had a 46 for Wawasee.
“We are making too many big scores,” said Warrior head coach Steve Coverstone. “ We had three guys make triple bogey or worse.
“But it was a great night for Kyle Weideman.”
The Warriors will host South Bend Riley, Manchester and Whitko at South Shore on Thursday.
