Wawasee Girls Tennis Snaps Skid

SYRACUSE – Wawasee’s Lady Warriors won both doubles matches and Meg Heinisch won at No. 3 singles to give the tennis team a 3-2 win over Northern Lakes Conference foe Goshen Thursday.
“This is the first NLC victory this team has secured in many years, and I’m proud of this team for its fight and hard work,” said Wawasee head coach Shane Staley.
 Charity Parker and Kabrea Rostochak won in straight sets over Liz Erickson and Ali Miller 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Madison Cooper and Brooke Fick won at No. 2 doubles over Alexis Johnson and Claire Pemer by an identical score.
The Lady Warrior junior varsity won six of nine matches contested.
Wawasee continues NLC play Tuesday when they visit Concord on Tuesday.[[In-content Ad]]
