Don Wanamaker, Syracuse, and Anita Howell, Goshen, annouce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Watkins, Syracuse, to Chris Oberg, Syracuse. He is the son of David and Jean Oberg, Leesburg.

The bride-to-be is a homemaker in Syracuse. She is a 2000 graduate of Goshen High School.

The groom-elect is a technician at Adams Remco, Elkhart. He is a 1991 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and attended Ivy Tech College in Warsaw, where he earned an associate's degree in computer networking. He served in the U.S. Army.
