She received a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2008. She is a case worker at Crossoad Fort Wayne Children's Home.
The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate North Miami High School, Denver, and a 2005 graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute, with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in biomedical engineering. He is a Diesel Calibration Engineer at CAV Engineering, Auburn Hills, Mich.
