Warsaw Volleyball Team Leads Roundup After Winning Own Invite

The Warsaw volleyball team captured its Tiger Invitational championship Saturday, defeating Class 2A No. 6 Southwood in the title match.
En route to the title, the Warsaw Lady Tigers defeated Prairie Heights (25-9, 25-15), Lafayette Jefferson (25-20, 25-14) and Muncie Burris (25-17, 25-20), then knocked off Southwood 25-21, 25-16.
On the day, Katie Voelz earned MVP honors with 32 kills, seven blocks and five aces.
Also for Warsaw, Megan Chauncey posted 64 assists, Emily Poe finished with 24 digs and 16 kills and Laura Craig had 25 kills, 25 digs and three aces.
The 16-5 Lady Tigers are at NorthWood Thursday for a Northern Lakes Conference match.

Wawasee is at Northridge Tuesday and Warsaw makes the trip to Middlebury Thursday.
