ORDINANCE NO. 2011-08-04
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE WARSAW CITY CODE
    The Common Council of the City of Warsaw, at a duly called meeting on the 6th day of September, 2011 adopted the following:
    The City Code of Warsaw Sec. 54-64 is amended as follows:
    Chapter 54, Sec. 54-64 Limitations on Bows and Arrows and Slingshots
    The following sub paragraphs are added to Sec. 54-64;
    (h) It shall be a violation of this ordinance for any person not approved by the Deer Task Force of the City to be found hunting with a Bow with Arrows used to take wild game and more particularly whitetale deer within any area of the City of Warsaw designated as a "deer nuisance zone" which area has been placed under the supervision of the Deer Task Force of the City. Such violation will be subject to a fine of $250.00 plus attorney fees and costs.
    (i) it shall be a violation of this ordinance for any landowner of lands within a designated "deer nuisance zone" to give permission to any hunter who is not approved by the deer task force to hunt on the landowner's property. Such violation will be subject of a fine of $100.00 plus attorney fees and costs.
    (j) Any hunter who is not approved by the Deer Task Force who is found in possession or control of a deer taken within a "deer nuisance zone" will be subject to a fine of $500.00 plus attorney fees and costs.
    A person who violates any other provision of this chapter shall be punishable by way of a fine; the fine for a first offense will be $250.00; the fine for a second offense will be $500.00; and the fine for a third or subsequent offense will be not less than $750.00 or more than $2,500.00.
    PASSED, ADOPTED and ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Warsaw, Indiana this 6th day of September, 2011.
