Warsaw Noon Optimists Conduct Bike Safety Day

The Warsaw Noon Optimist Club conducted a Bike Safety Day with the third- and fourth-grade classes of Jefferson School Friday. The event consisted of a coloring contest, and a bicycle rodeo where 160 students navigated through seven stations including maneuvering, riding at slow speed, spiral, stop on a dime, figure 8, police safety and maintenance. Bicycle helmets were given to all 80 third-grade students and 24 prizes were given out to the winners of the coloring contest and the rodeo for a total expenditure of $1,310.
