Warsaw Names Top Grads For 2000

Steve Slaughter is the valedictorian and Adrienne Wilka is the salutatorian of Warsaw Community High School's class of 2000.

Slaughter, the son of George and Anne Slaughter, will graduate from WCHS with a grade point average - on a 12.0 scale - of 13.7. He plans to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he will major in behavioral science.

His high school activities include student council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Kosciusko Endowment Youth Services, National Honor Society, varsity tennis, Mathletes and the Continental Math League.

Wilka, the daughter of Don and Lori Wilka, Warsaw, will graduate with a GPA of 13.3. She will attend Ball State University and major in architecture.

She has been a member of National Honor Society, Students Against Drunk Driving, Business Professionals of America and Junior Octagon. She participated in volleyball for two years.
