Warsaw Man Held In Theft Of Anhydrous Ammonia From CFS Plant

A Warsaw man was arrested Wednesday evening for allegedly trying to steal anhydrous ammonia.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Dept. arrested Randy Wayne Avery, 28, Warsaw, at the CSF plant near Old 15 and CR 900N.

The location was under surveillance by undercover officers due to previous thefts of anhydrous ammonia, which is used in the production of methamphetamine.

Avery was charged with theft, and also had outstanding warrants for failure to appear and resisting/fleeing law enforcement. He is being held on $3,750.

Sheriff Rocky Goshert commended the undercover officers on their cooperation between the Warsaw Police Department and KCSD.

Residents are asked to call the drug tip line at 574-372-2494 if they suspect any selling or usage of illegal drugs in Kosciusko County.[[In-content Ad]]
