Warsaw Man Held as Person of Interest in Thursday Death

One Warsaw man is in jail and another is dead after being found unresponsive Thursday night at a vacant duplex at 228 N. Fort Wayne Ave.
Warsaw police identified the victim as Randall Jones, 56, of 1401 Greenhill Drive, Warsaw.
Police booked Frankie Lee Poe, 40, of 704 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, into the Kosciusko County Jail on preliminary charges of residential entry to the vacant duplex this morning. Police say they consider Poe a person of interest in the death investigation and he is being held without bond.
A neighbor called police for a welfare check on an unresponsive male at the Fort Wayne Avenue location.
Officers responded at 7:34 p.m. to the vacant duplex and found Jones on the steps. Multi-Township EMS transported him to Kosciusko Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 
An autopsy is scheduled today at the Northeast Forensic Center in Fort Wayne.
The case remains under investigation. Autopsy results and any further investigation will be forwarded to the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Warsaw Police were assisted by Multi-Township EMS, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office, and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
