Warsaw Girls Track Edged By Homestead

FORT WAYNE – Warsaw’s girls track team lost a closely contested track meet, 68-64 at Homestead Tuesday night.
Alexie Day won the high jump with a personal-best 5-4 leap and then secured a third-place finish in the 100 hurdles.
Samantha Alexander won the long jump with a leap of 17-2, and then finished second in the 200.
Audrey Rich won twice, taking the 100 and 200, Emily Bailey was another double-winner by taking both the discus and shot put events.
Joelle Messenger cleared 8-0 while winning the pole vault, and the 4x800 relay team of Mia Beckham, Brooke Rhodes, Allison Miller and Anna Craig won.
The team will not compete again until after spring break. The Lady Tigers open Northern Lakes Conference competition at Elkhart Memorial and against Plymouth on April 12.
