    Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received
    By: The Board of Trustees of the Warsaw Community Schools
    For: WCS Transportation Office Remodel
    At: Warsaw Community Schools Central Administrative Offices
          1 Administration Drive, Warsaw, IN  46580             Until: 1:00 P.M. local time, Wednesday, April 24, 2013
    Bids received after that date will be returned unopened.  Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "WCS Transportation Office Remodel."
    Bid Opening: The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter in the Central Administrative Offices, 1 Administration Drive, Warsaw, IN  46580    
    All work for the complete construction of the project will be made under one prime contract with the Owner or its assignee.  The Owner reserves the right to award multiple contracts to obtain the lowest total combined cost based on the bids received.  Construction will be in full accordance with the bidding documents, which are on file with the Owner and may be examined by prospective bidders at Allegra Print & Imaging 201 W. Center Street, Warsaw, IN 46580 Phone (574) 269-5411, or at Scearce Rudisel Architects, Inc. (574-269-1596).
    Prime contract bidders may obtain bidding documents from Allegra Print & Imaging for a non-refundable fee of $45 for each complete set. Each complete set may be in either printed copy or in electronic (PDF) format.  Fees shall be paid via check made payable to Allegra Print and Imaging, (574-269-5411), or via credit card through the services link (Paypal) on the Scearce Rudisel Architects, Inc. website (www.srarchitects.com).  
    Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.  Bid security shall be a bid bond or certified check.  All bid bonds shall be made payable to Warsaw Community Schools.
    Warsaw Community Schools reserves the right to assign any portion of the bid or bids to a School Building Corporation (assignee).  The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding.  No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of sixty, (60), days.
    The successful bidder will be required to furnish Contract Performance and Maintenance Bonds for 100% of his contract amount prior to execution of contracts.  Bonds shall be in full force and effect for a period of at least 12 months after the date of final completion and acceptance of the longest guarantee provided under the contractor's contract.  Should the contractor's bonding company default, the contractor will be responsible for securing a new bond within fourteen (14) calendar days.
    Prime contract bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid conference at the Warsaw Community Schools Transportation Facility, 350 East 200 North, Warsaw, Indiana on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. with representatives of the Owner and Architect present to discuss bidding requirements and information; contractor's work and storage areas; and requirements for contractor's personnel.  A tour of the job site will be held in conjunction with the pre-bid conference.
    Bid proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the bid form provided.  Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit as required by the statutes of the State of Indiana.  State Board of Accounts Form 96 must be executed for any bid in excess of $25,000.00.  Bidders must attach their company financial statement to Form 96 or use Form 96(a).
    The bidder shall state in his/her bid the number of calendar days required to complete the project.  It is the intention of the Owner that the project will begin as soon as possible after bid award.
