The agreements are for Pike, Center and Winona Lake Preservation Associations.
Each lake association will receive $2,500 to be used to enhance the well being of the lake through preservation, conservation and maintenance.
Weed control, fish stocking of the lake and lake studies are a few ways the funds can be used.
The board also approved a maintenance agreement for The Gardens of Central Park between Warsaw and Anderson Property Management for the installation and maintenance of 18 satellite beds and urns in Central Park.
The board approved parks department event contracts for the Daddy’s Little Sweetheart dance Feb. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Center Lake Pavilion. A contract for fly fishing beginners classes May 18 and Sept. 21 also was approved.
The board approved cell phone allowances for city employees who have been designated as needing a phone for limited city business.
The cell phone allowances are for Brad Kellar, Warsaw Police Department patrolman; Trent Stamper, Warsaw Wastewater Treatment Utility janitor; and Dana Hewitt, WPD records clerk and parking control officer.
Hewitt was approved to serve as WPD records clerk and parking control officer at $15.71 an hour.
Hewitt replaces Kim Arnold, who now serves as the Warsaw Building and Planning Department Department’s administration assistant. Arnold replaced Connie Bowman, who retired.
The board approved a 2013 interlocal agreement between WPD and the county. WPD will pay a $30,000 maintenance fee for WPD to have access to the Kosciusko County records management server.
The board also approved a contract between the Warsaw Public Works Department and Ace Pest Control for extermination services as needed.
The board approved a 2013 agreement for Lawrence Clifford to continue to serve as the city’s hearing officer.
