SYRACUSE - Kari Wortinger shot a 43 in defeating the closest golfer among three teams by 12 strokes as Wawasee won twice. Scores were Wawasee 231, Westview 254, West Noble 263 on Wednesday.

Julia Wolfe shot a 58 for the Warriors in the win.

Wawasee (5-14) will be at Fremont on Thursday.

Manchester is now 9-2 and will be at Sycamore Golf Course with Warsaw today.

At Bourbon, No. 2 singles player Adam Heckaman cruised to a 6-3, 6-1 win over P.J. Schleiger as Triton knocked off Rochester on Wednesday.

Art Blackmer also won at No. 1 singles and Nick Heckaman and Schuyler Stutzman won at No. 1 doubles.

Triton will host Bremen at 4 p.m. on Monday.

At Middlebury, The Wawasee boys defeated Northridge 17-38 and Plymouth 23-32 on Tuesday. The girls team lost to Northridge 15-48 and Plymouth 22-33.

Pete Melendez placed second overall for Wawasee with a time of 17:08. Jeff Moerchen and Dusty Lytle placed third and fourth.

For the girls, Katie McCauley placed eight overall with a time of 16:14.

The Wawasee boys (3-1) and girls (1-3) will be at the Northrup Invitational on Saturday.

Gabe Koser got a hat trick, scoring all three Warsaw goals in a victory on Wednesday. Jake Silveus led the defense to its second shutout of the season.
