GOSHEN - The Wawasee girls basketball improved its record to 3-0 after traveling to and defeating Fairfield 76-44 Saturday.

Shanna Zolman led the Warriors with 32 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals.

Wawasee, now 3-0, hosts East Noble Friday.

The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings bounced back from a Friday loss to earn a 45-33 win over Culver Saturday.

The Vikings were up 24-12 at the half and held the 12 point lead through the end of the game.

Tabitha Pratt led Valley with 24 points and 13 rebounds.

"We had a good defensive effort and controlled the boards," said Valley coach Gary Teel. "The Lady Vikings held Culver to 19 percent field goal shooting for the game."

Valley, now 2-1 overall, hosts the TG Classic Tourney Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Aly Frantz led the Wildcat scoring with a total of 37 on the day while Monica Sands added 18 of her own.

The Wilcats are now 2-2 on the season and will travel to Northfield Friday.

The Warsaw Tigers captured another swimming win Saturday against CGA. The Tigers slipped past the CGA squad by five points, 87-83.

The Tigers placed first in three of the 11 events. Jaci Thallemer placed first in the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. The other first-place finish came from Aislinn Ummel, Claire Beckett, Meaghan McCammon and Katie Beehler in the 200 freeestyle relay.

Warsaw, now 3-1, will travel to NorthWood Dec. 2 for their next meet.
