NORTH MANCHESTER – Wanda L. Simcoe, 84, of North Manchester, died at 7:58 a.m. Nov. 4, 2012, in her residence.
She was born Oct. 4, 1928, in Warsaw, to Roy and Bertha Holderman Smith. On March 19, 1948, she married Kenneth D. Simcoe, who died March 31, 1993.
She retired from Heckman Bindery after 27 years. She was a member of Mentone United Methodist Church. She graduated from Mentone High School in 1946 and Ravenscroft Beauty College, Fort Wayne, in 1948. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star 88, Warsaw, and a charter and lifetime member of World War II Memorial. She loved reading, baking and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was an avid I.U. and Notre Dame fan.
Surviving are three sons, Kenney D. Simcoe and Sam R. (and spouse Shirley) Simcoe, all of North Manchester, and Steven B. (and spouse Becky) Simcoe, St. Henry, Ohio; a daughter, Jo Lynn (and spouse Bob) Robison, North Manchester; two brothers, John (and spouse Jill) Smith, Warsaw, and Charles (and spouse Diane) Smith, Claypool; a sister, Carol (and spouse Mike) Engle, Leesburg; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Simcoe, and a brother, Walter Smith.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114 W, North Manchester, with the Rev. Kevin DeKoninck officiating. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
