She was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Warsaw, to Dale O. and Vera Cartwright Babcock. On Nov. 4, 1949, in Warsaw, she married Norman Brown, who survives.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she retired from Penguin Point franchise.
Also surviving are a daughter, Cynthia (and spouse Michael) Whitaker, Warsaw; three sons, Michael (and spouse Cheryl) Brown and Timothy (and spouse Cynthia) Brown, all of Warsaw, and Patrick (and spouse Jolinda) Brown, Colorado Spring, Colo.; a sister, Joanne Holbrook, Warsaw; a brother, Jimmy Babcock, Lancaster, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and a great-grandson.
A private graveside service will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Don Plank officiating.
No calling is planned.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
