He was born and raised in South Whitley. After graduating high school, he served in Europe as a member of the U.S. Army General Patton’s 94th Division during World War II.
In 1944, he married Juanita Bair in 1944, who died in 2008. They lived in Fort Wayne for many years prior to moving to North Webster in 1976. He retired from International Harvester.
He is a member of the United Methodist Church and a life member of American Legion Post 253.
He has two sons; two daughters; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
