She was born May 24, 1935, in Germany. On Oct. 15, 1975, in Burket, she married Fred M. Vandermark, who died April 16, 2003.
She was a homemaker. She loved knitting and gardening. She taught German and ballroom dancing at Tippecanoe Valley High School in evening classes.
Surviving are two daughters, Roselinde (and spouse Rick) England, Mentone, and Rosemarie (and spouse) Miner, Colorado; two granddaughters, Heather (and spouse Paul) Shanklin and Heidi (and spouse John) Oldfather, both of Rochester; a grandson in Colorado; and eight great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Honoring her wishes, no services will take place at this time. A memorial service in her memory will be scheduled at a later date. Burial is in Sycamore Cemetery, Mentone.
Arrangements are entrusted to King Memorial Home, Mentone.
