Warren and Josephine Walmer will mark their 60th wedding anniversary June 8. They were married June 8, 1947, at the home of the bride's parents.

He retired from his business, Walmer Supply INC, in 1986. Then he pastored United Methodist Churches in the Northern Indiana Conference until 2005.

The couple have three children: James L. (and wife Carolyn) Walmer; Robert (and wife Becky) Walmer, and Mrs. Tom (Sharon) Wilson. They have 10 grandchildren and 3 great-great grnadchildren.

The couple celebrated the anniversary with family at Oakwood Inn and Conference Center, Syracuse.[[In-content Ad]]

What I haven’t heard mentioned are the eleven towers scattered across it - eleven towers that you have to till, plant, and harvest around. Heaven forbid you hit one. Planes that spray my fields can’t hit the full area because of these obstacles. I’ve got four irrigation units running to irrigate the best I can, where normally two would suffice.
