WACC Students Honor Supervisors; Students of Year Named

WINONA LAKE – Warsaw Area Career Center business and marketing co-op students recently honored their supervisors at an employer appreciation luncheon at Stonehenge Golf and Country Club in Winona Lake.

The students expressed their appreciation to their supervisors for their guidance and understanding in teaching them professional business skills and aiding them in the transition from school to the training site.

The marketing co-op student of the year recipient was Kailan Rees, who worked in the knee marketing department at DePuy under the supervision of Randy Grote.

The business co-op student of the year recipient was Keelan Simpson, who worked in the legal department at Biomet under the supervision of Cathy Garrison.

Professional growth awards were presented to Paige Baldwin, Melissa Paar and Kayla Stout.

Business and marketing co-op excellence awards were presented to Patrick Olson, Jordan Owens, Trisha Reneker, Amy Hodorek, Lauren Gendron and Sam Richardson.

Special guests from the WACC and Warsaw Community Schools were CTE Director Ronna Kawsky, senior class principal Dave Anson, CTE Program Specialist Diana Yarian, CTE administrative assistant Krista Streeter-Burns, school board member Matt Dick and retired co-op instructor Linda Hoy.[[In-content Ad]]
