Vote Republican

As I look back at this year’s Republican primary elections, the contested races were hard-fought and were won fair and square. In contests for the Republican nomination for House District 22, for county commissioner, and for multiple county judgeships, clear winners emerged after vigorous campaigns.
With everything in life, there are winners and there are losers. It’s easy to move forward after a win. It’s much harder to move forward after a loss. When we suffer any loss we go through a five-step process: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Getting caught in one of these first four steps can be destructive.
As a fellow Republican who has not always gotten the results I would like in primary elections, I ask you to think long and hard before supporting any Democrat or Independent candidate in this fall election. Please don't let your emotions trump common sense.
This is not a decision that lasts only one day. You are choosing your state representative for the next two years, and you are choosing your Kosciusko County sheriff for the next four years. Voting for Curt Nisly in HD22, Aaron Rovenstine for sheriff, and the rest of our fine Republican slate is the smart move.
