Every family has had to make tough choices over the past few years due to the present economic conditions.
Towns and cities and other government agencies are no exception as they too must learn to be very creative in lowering their budgets and living within their means. We need people in leadership positions who know how to make the tough decisions and lower the cost of government.
Kent Adams is my choice for clerk-treasurer of the Town of Winona Lake. I have known Kent for many years as we both worked in the Warsaw and Goshen school systems. I’ve seen his work in our State House as a legislator doing what was right over what was popular. He has authored bills to make our government smaller and to help businesses in our local communities to grow and create jobs. We have had no greater fighter for the protection of unborn babies and for keeping government out of our churches. He represents my values and is always ready to listen to my opinions.
The position of clerk-treasurer is not one for just keeping the records, but is also one of great influence. As a former Winona Lake Town Council member, I know how much the council depended upon the clerk-treasurer to assist in making the right decisions.
Kent’s varied experiences and financial expertise place him in the best possible position to see the big picture. I trust Kent and know that he will be willing to do all the research needed to assist the town council. He is not afraid to make the tough decisions and will always keep in mind the best interests of our residents.
Please join me in voting for Kent Adams in the upcoming primary election on May 3.
