Virginia May Mahan, 89, of Warsaw, died at 8:08 a.m. Oct. 25, 2007, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Salem, Ind., to Otho and Lola Roach Fleenor. In April 1935, in Paoli, she married Robert Haworth, who preceded her in death in January 1965. In April 1965, in Paoli, she married Floyd Mahan, in Paoli, who preceded her in death in 1993.

A 42-year Kosciusko County resident, she worked for Fishers Restaurant, Paoli, and Webster Products, North Webster, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Warsaw Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are a son, James (and wife Becky) Haworth, Paoli; three daughters: Mrs. Vance (Barbara) Dillard and Mrs. Max (Rita) Dillard, both of Paoli; and Mrs Larry (Rebecca) Wright, Warsaw; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Christi Dillard; a sister, Martha Fleenor; and a brother, Wolford Deal.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at McAdams Funeral Home, Paoli, with Pastor Steve Stroud officiating. Burial will be in Paoli Community Cemetery, Paoli.

Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of local arrangements.
