She was born Feb. 22, 1918, in Chicago, Ill., to Roy and Catherine Sheely McDaniels. On June 1, 1938, in Goshen, she married Heraldon Layton Pergrem, who died June 13, 1993.
Surviving are two sons, Layton L. (and spouse Cynthia) Pergrem and H. Royd Pergrem, both of Syracuse; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier.
Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
