COLUMBIA CITY – Victoria J. Kessie, 63, Columbia City, passed away Aug. 23, 2015, at her home.
She was born Nov. 1, 1951, in Canton, Ohio, to Hobert S. and Helen V. Myers Hileman. On May 29, 1999, in Columbia City, she married Phillip R. Kessie, who preceded her in death in 2013.
She graduated from Tinken High School, Canton, with the Class of 1970. She moved to the Warsaw area from Canton and had been a resident of Whitley County since 1995. She retired from Dalton Corporation, Warsaw, with 36 years of service and attended Columbia City United Methodist Church.
Survivors are: her daughter, Samantha (and spouse Rick) Sloan, Columbia City; a son, William D. (and spouse Chrissy) Showe, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three brothers, Richard (and spouse Mono) Hileman, Rodney (and spouse Karen) Hileman and Tim (and spouse Betty) Hileman, all of Canton; two sisters, Marilyn F. Cole and  Joan A. Williams, both of Canton; her mother-in-law, Barbara Kessie; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two stepchildren; and her three dogs, Lulu, Izzy and Sully. She also was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, William, Robert, Dennis and Rocco Hileman; and a sister, Nancy Bailey.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
