Veteran's Day Ceremonies Planned In Kosciusko County

Veteran’s Day is Sunday.
The annual American Legion Post 49, Warsaw, Veteran’s Day ceremony is Sunday at Center Lake Pavilion at10:30 a.m.
David Beall, Warsaw Municipal Airport manager, is the featured speaker.
Lakeview Middle School also is having a veterans program on Thursday at 7 p.m. that is open to the public.
Ken Locke is the featured speaker for the ceremony at Lakeview. The Lakeview band and choir will also perform.
American Legion Post 49 will offer a free lunch for legionnaires from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.
A Veteran’s Day program will be Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. at Milford School gymnasium. There will be a special tribute to Harry Michael, second lieutenant.
Michael is a World War II veteran, Milford resident and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient.
North Webster Post 253 has planned many Veteran’s Day events.
Ceremonies Sunday will be at Mock Cemetery, North Webster, at 8:30 a.m.; Salem Cemetery at 9 a.m.; Oakgrove Cemetery at 9:30 a.m; Oswego Cemetery at 10 a.m.; North Webster Post 253 at 10:30 a.m. and North Webster Cemetery at 11 a.m.
A ham, beans and cornbread meal will be free to the public Sunday at noon at North Webster Legion Post 253. Entertainment will be provided by Russ Chandler at 4 p.m. at the legion.
Pierceton Legion Post 258 will have a Post Everlasting Ceremony at 11 a.m. Sunday at the post.
A Veteran’s Day Ceremony will be Monday at 9 a.m. at Pierceton Elementary School.
Syracuse American Legion Post 223 will fire rifles at Crosson Park, Syracuse, at 11 a.m. Sunday.
A ceremony will be at Wawasee High School Monday at 8 a.m., and a ceremony will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Syracuse Elementary School.
