Verbal Argument Breaks out at Pierceton Woods

PIERCETON – Police responded to an incident at Pierceton Woods Academy after four residents got into a verbal argument.

According to a statement from Pierceton Woods Academy sent to Pierceton Police Department this morning, four residents in the behavior modification wing of the facility got into an argument that escalated to them pushing each other.

Residents then threatened each other before staff stepped in.

One resident was punched.

All four were placed in the facility’s detention center per the county probation department.

Pierceton officer Jim Bumbaugh responded along with a police unit from the county sheriff’s department and Winona Lake.
