She was born June 25, 1913, in Kosciusko County, to Clyde and Cora Martz Lackey. On Dec. 19, 1939, she married Chester Hoover, who died Oct. 4, 1983.
She was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church, Warsaw.
Surviving are two grandsons, Galen Deniston, Warsaw, and Ryan (and spouse Donna) Deniston, Palm Desert, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Jean Kehoe, Warsaw; and three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Deniston, who died in 1989; two sisters, Naomi Cook and Irene Konkle; five brothers, Clarence, James, William, John and Robert Lackey; a stepdaughter, Normalee Bowman; two stepsons, Robert and Billy Hoover; and three step-grandchildren.
Graveside services were today at Mentone Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Boschain, First Christian Church, officiating.
