Various Events Planned For Downtown Days Aug. 6&7

Downtown Days is Aug. 6 and 7 in downtown Warsaw.
There will be sidewalk sales and food vendors all day on Aug. 6. The Aug. 6 Downtown Days is in collaboration with the First Friday event.
On Aug. 7 there will be a K21 Health Foundation 5K race through town with registration from 8 to 8:45 a.m. on the courthouse lawn.
The annual Warsaw Optimist/Penguin Point Big Wheel Race will be at 10:30 a.m. with registration at 9 a.m. on Center Street.
Children's games and activities will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be free kiddie rides and games on South Buffalo Street. There also will be face painting.
There will be an entertainment stage from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Caudill's Black Belt Academy will perform at 1 p.m., a magic show and balloon artist will be at 2 p.m., Collier's School of Dance will perform at 11:30 a.m. and Giverny Fitness dance studio will perform at 3 p.m.
The downtown criterium cycling races will be from 1 to 7:30 p.m.
A motorcycle show and hog roast at Rex's Rendezvous will be from noon to 10:30 p.m.
A watermelon feast will be at PNC Bank from 1 to 4 p.m.
Rex's Rendezvous and Mad Anthony's will have hospitality tents.
Street closings are listed as follows for Downtown Days. On Aug. 6 at 3 p.m. Buffalo Street between Center and Market Street will be closed. Lake Street from Market Street to the alley north of 1st Source Bank will be closed from 5 to 8 p.m.
Center Street and Market Street between Lake and Indiana street - all parking spots will be coned off in late afternoon Aug. 6 in preparation for the Shrine Parade.
On Aug. 7 from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. the following streets will be closed: Center Street between Lake and Indiana streets, Main Street between Lake and Indiana streets, Indiana Street between Center and Main streets, Lake Street between Center and Main streets, Buffalo Street between Main and Market streets.
Buffalo Street between Market Street and the alley north of the city parking lot and the intersection of Market and Buffalo Street will be open.
